EFFECTIVE October 1, 2009: Routine comprehesive eye health exams that can include dilation of the eyes are $117 for established patients and $ 123 for new patients. Medical Eye Health exams with refraction with medical conditions or medical complaints (an example is diabetes) are $123 (most health insurances cover this). * Corneal topography, follow ups (for up to 3 months) and dry eye screenings are provided with contact lens services, when needed, at no additional charges. Glasses prescriptions are automatically given with contact lens exams. single vision contact lens exam with followups for 90 days are $ 184- 190. (established - new)* bifocal/mono-vision contact lens exam with followups for 90 days are $203-209.* Keratoconus/Specialty fits; contact lens exam with followups for 90 days are $287 - 293.* Medical office visits (infections, trauma,etc.) which most health insurances cover are $ 56 - $ 294. Corneal topography: $ 58 Visual Fields : $ 93 Foreign Body removals; $ 71 and up. Ocular Photography; Posterior $ 68 Anterior: $ 55 Optomap non-dilated retinal exam: $36. As of 7/1/10 if you are a VSP Signature Plan member your insurance will cover this mode of retinal evaluation. * "No Shows" without 24-hour notice means that another patient who needed our services was unable to see us. A cost of $ 35 dollars will be assessed.
For our Patients using vision insurances: the price difference between the Comprehensive Eye Exam and the appropriate Contact Lens Exam listed above is collected at the time of the service. Your contact lens material benefit ( if applicable) is only available to be applied to this charge when you are purchasing contacts at the time of service. |
